Blog from the expedition:

With skis on Baffin Island
The spectacular Baffin Island is located in the Canadian Arctic. During 80 days in spring 2009, the Baffin Babes will put on their skis and cover a distance of 1200 kilometres in the untouched wilderness. Emma Simonsson, Vera Simonsson, Ingbjoerg Tollefsen and Kristin Folsland Olsen are set for new challenges.
Threatened beauty
The expedition will visit three villages, and divide the route into two different stages. The girls hope to get in close contact with the locals, and see and learn more about the beautiful, but threatened arctic environment.
In the land of the polar bears
During the expedition the skiers will face challenges like temperatures down to 40 degrees Celsius below zero, strong wind, heavy snowfall and meetings with the white King, the polar bear.
Freedom flow
The adventurous women set out on this trip because of their great love of nature and the feeling of freedom from living such a nomadic life out in the snow.
It's pure, its simple, and its satisfying!
